The Wandering Isles: Session 3

The Stolen Invitation

Eos challenged Dash about what he had been doing on the island. He admitted that he had stolen his invitation from Lysa, believing it would take him to a wealthy person’s home for a heist.

Hatsu met a blue-skinned man whose hair moved as though caught by an unseen breeze. The man led him to where his weapons were stored and carefully inspected each blade. Hatsu was reassured about their condition, though still curious about his guide.

Dash spoke with Remington about whether he belonged at the Arcanum. Remington suggested that his arrival was less accidental than Dash believed. He spoke about excellence as a way of thinking and encouraged Dash to consider what he could become.

Assessments

Weslyn grew increasingly tired as the day continued. The group watched other students complete tests of physical and magical power, but the effort demanded of them seemed excessive. Something about the assessments felt wrong.

After returning to their rooms, the newcomers were drawn into a strange space where they had to navigate challenges within their own minds. Each test called on different abilities.

The First Trials

Amaedrianna’s trial sent her into a version of her own home to carry out a theft. She moved quietly between pillars and completed the task. Dash’s test paired him with Lysa to obtain a gemstone, requiring them to work together.

Eos’s trial was next. The others’ assessments were still to come.
