Weslyn Theiwyse

Weslyn is played by John.

Weslyn Theiwyse was born in a different time, deep in the hinterlands of Anbudon, in the region of Arbores, within a small and isolated community that withdrew from the outside world as magic began to rise across Arraness. Fear of the unknown reshaped the culture of the village. Sacred places were abandoned, traditions faded, and caution became the foundation of everyday life. Weslyn grew up in a respected family: his mother, Isolde Theiwyse, served as a healer and herbalist, while his father shaped much of the village itself. As the youngest siblings, Weslyn spent much of his childhood tending livestock, helping in the fields, and wandering the outskirts of the village with a curious and restless mind.

Even as a child, Weslyn’s imagination stretched beyond the boundaries his community tried to enforce. While the elders discouraged such thinking, he often dreamed of impossible things. During his ninth winter, that curiosity drew him towards the edge of the forest. He followed his father deep into a conflict that sent him into a large glowing doorway.

When Weslyn finally emerged, the world he had known was gone. The glade had been absorbed time, and the village of his youth had evolved through many generations. Weslyn himself was changed too. The magic of the door he went through transformed him. He is now something bound to the rhythms of nature and ancient magic. His memories of the glade remain fragmented and dreamlike, filled with strange hunts, endless moonlit dances, wounds that grew vines, and whispers of knowledge no mortal mind was meant to hold.

Unable to return to the life he once knew and unable to reclaim the forest that changed him, Weslyn wandered until fate brought him to Maleficum's Arcanum of Magic & Might. Among students and scholars touched by strange powers of their own, he found a strange sense of familiarity. The school’s isolation, its pursuit of knowledge, and its connection to the unseen forces of the world felt almost like home. Though still adjusting to a world centuries beyond his childhood, Weslyn moves forward with quiet curiosity and cautious optimism, but he is also haunted by the echoes of the past, yet hopeful that his strange rebirth has a purpose he has yet to understand.
