A New Era Begins

Centuries ago, the world of Arraness was forever altered by a cataclysmic event. In this new age, magic became a rare and feared phenomenon, watched closely by those who remembered the old tales.

Now, as whispers of magic start to stir once again, The Wandering Isles invites you to join a new band of adventurers. These brave souls will explore mysteries, confront challenges, and perhaps discover whether Arraness is destined for renewal or doomed to repeat its turbulent history.


Amaedrianna Blüdfist

In the shadowy realms of Vurduar, Amaedrianna Blüdfist prepares for her departure from a city marked by its lawlessness. At The Spiv, a notorious tavern intertwined with the covert operations of The Crimson Embers, she bids a veiled farewell. The tavern's owner, Syl, and Amaedrianna's mother share poignant moments with her, offering cryptic advice and expressing a mixture of hope, sorrow, and understanding of her deeper motives. Before she departs, her mother bestows upon her a family ring—a symbol of protection and remembrance. Her father unexpectedly confronts her, reminding her of her duties with a stern warning about past failures. Stepping away from Vurduar, Amaedrianna carries both her mother’s love and her father’s caution into the unknown.


Dash Heidmann

As dawn breaks over the bustling metropolis of Palperroth, Dash Heidmann finalizes his preparations to leave. Amidst meticulous adjustments to his attire—a habit instilled by his mother, Elara, a tailor of exquisite skill—he encounters Lysa the Shadow, who playfully accuses him of theft. Upon arriving at the dock, his presents him with a small bundle of leather armour, crafted with maternal love yet suited for a thief's lifestyle. Elandor Thistlenook, his mentor, offers a final lesson on the importance of charm and discretion. Reflecting on his father's enigmatic legacy, Dash quite literally leaps onto his transport, carrying his mother's armour and a resolve to navigate the life ahead with both cunning and dignity.


Ekdíkisi “Eos” Tintreach

In the quaint village of Asazaki, Eos gathers her belongings amid her mother Raine’s bookshop, surrounded by ancient tomes. Her mother, initially stunned by the necessity of her departure, eventually supports her with a mix of encouragement and sombre advice, gifting her a cherished family book. The local healer and a family friend offer their own tokens of protection and luck. A mysterious gentleman, known as “Rem”, awaits to guide her to her new life. Emotionally charged farewells with her mother and friends mark Eos’s departure as she steps into the carriage, ready to explore her potential in a realm of magic and knowledge.


Hatsu Toshitsugu

Hatsu Toshitsugu's departure is preceded by a poignant conversation with Ayame Fujiwara atop a high rooftop, reflecting on his upcoming journey. Below, his father presents him with a family sword after a brief demonstration of Hatsu's combat prowess. The blade, accompanied by a rich family history of the Toshitsugu Clan's legacy of unity and excellence, is symbolically handed over by his father. Hatsu's departure is hastened by an accidental display of magic by his brother, leading him to a ship where he contemplates his heritage and the responsibilities it carries.


Slate

Slate encounters a series of disorienting shifts in identity and reality. Addressed as the mayor and later strapped to a bed for testing, he experiences transformations that confuse his sense of self. After breaking free, he meets Chaunce, who shares a similar mysterious condition. Amidst these surreal encounters, Slate focuses on a magnifying glass he received from a recruiting teacher, which becomes a symbolic tool as he navigates his bewildering surroundings.


Weslyn Theiwyse

Wandering into the city, Weslyn Theiwyse is taken under the wing of Elara Stormweaver, who offers him refuge at Azure Elixirs. Here, Weslyn explores his burgeoning magical abilities with the aid of a wand gifted by Elara, designed to help channel his magic. Through nocturnal outings and guidance from Elara, Weslyn learns the history of the town and hones his survival skills. His journey takes a decisive turn when Elara pulls strings to secure his admission to Maleficum's Arcanum of Magic & Might, ensuring his safety and fostering his potential in a new magical environment.


Each of these characters, equipped with a meaningful item and guided by a blend of personal motivations and external influences, embarks on a transformative journey to Maleficum's Arcanum of Magic & Might, setting the stage for a saga of growth, challenge, and discovery.
