The Wandering Isles - Session 20

This week, Slate spent his time in Penzance revisiting old memories and exploring familiar spots, reflecting on his past while engaging with a cryptic, talking book. He sought answers regarding his lost memories but was only met with vague hints about the future.

The group took a moment to pay their respects to Weslyn before a sudden fire broke out in the village. Dash, Lysa, Slate, and Chicken rushed to the scene, where they helped rescue a person trapped inside the blaze. In the process, they encountered Gusto, a rough character sporting a leather jacket, jeans, and a T-shirt with his name on it. Gusto's swagger and tall tales didn’t sit well with Dash, who became increasingly anxious when Gusto claimed to be good friends with the Archon.

Hatsu, suspecting Gusto of starting the fire, knocked him out in the chaos to search for evidence. Meanwhile, Elda Wainwright had a deep conversation with Eos about the goddess Minerva before a vigil and wake were held in Weslyn's honor, where the entire town turned out to pay their respects.

Dash speaks to Gusto about the Arcanum as they sit and share a beer. This conversation appears to be taken by Gusto as an invitation by Dash, one which Gusto quickly accepts.

The group offered heartfelt words at the ceremony. A vigil, a wake for Weslyn, their fallen ally.

Remington appeared during the vigil, offering his condolences and preparing to take the group back to the Arcanum. Before leaving, Slate built a memorial for Weslyn in Penzance, while Hatsu said a personal goodbye to his new friend Krechor, the village blacksmith.

Eos, however, decided to remain in Penzance, while the rest of the gang bid farewell to Adrian "Gorebound" Voss and returned home.

After burying Weslyn, the group entered a new chapter in their journey. They now travel with Gusto in tow. Meanwhile, Amaedrianna moved into Weslyn’s home and, in an unexpected turn, stole Dash's journal.

The team ended the week by levelling up to Level 3.
