Dear Orcs,

I feel incredibly proud. Ever since our DM Roper announced the concept of The

Wandering Isles, I have been beyond excited about everything and immediately started the

process of building Hatsu.

Since I also express myself a lot through music, I am more than happy to share this

mixtape with you!

These are all pieces that emerged during the creation of the Wandering Isles.

I want to give you some insight into how these songs were inspired and bring back that old-school

booklet feel.

"New Day" initially captured the vibe I envisioned for Hatsu

before his character was fully fleshed out. It represents how he

perceives the world during his meditations.

"Heartbeat" was inspired while I was writing Hatsu’s backstory. He spent

several years alone in the jungle, and this beat reflects his inner conflict

upon returning to society. In solitude, he could deeply contemplate the

meaning of life without interruptions. However, when he re-entered the

world, he was overwhelmed by its greed, anger, and violence, making him

doubt mankind for a long time.

This beat reflects that thought process and Hatsu’s growth—his evolution

from caring only about himself to caring for the world and everything

within it.

This track marks the beginning of Hatsu’s new way of life. He accepted

that change requires action and that sometimes chaos needs a strong force

to restore order. His dedication to martial arts and natural sciences

helped him find the courage to step into a leadership role for those with a

ride-or-die mindset.

This beat emerged as I was introduced to Eos. It captures the struggles of growing up in a

world where she cannot move freely. It also reflects her dedication and kind heart—the

fact that, even in sadness, she sees a greater purpose that she finds beautiful.

The background sounds try to express the feeling Eos might have when she sits with a cup

of tea, gazing at the night sky.

My modern take on a Magnum vibe—that’s how I’d describe my initial

approach for an Amae intro. This incredible trickster ultimately has good

intentions, but she walks the shaded path to achieve her goals.

For me, this piece also evokes the vision of a heist—both action-packed and

chill at the same time. Rhyno had a different vision for Amy, so we created

another beat instead. But here, you have the opportunity to hear how I

originally felt about her.

This track is grittier, more industrialised, steampunk-inspired version

of the original heist idea, reflecting the world Amy comes from.

A collaboration of taste and styles between myself and Rhyno.

A general sketch before I had more details about Dash. I only knew the broad concept of

his character at the time. This track still has a heist theme but is much more playful—

kind of a Prince of Persia vibe. It’s not too serious, more lighthearted… Dash n' Fail,

you might say...

The more serious approach we ended up using for his intro. The rush, the

urgency, combined with the violins of destiny—this is how I imagine Dash.

This piece emphasises that Dash was pushed into this path. To me, it feels

like the only choice he had to truly be free. It also reflects his struggles with

the system itself.

Uff. When I learned more about Slate and his journey, I was blown away. In my mind, this track formed into a modern dark Frankenstein vibe—like a rushed horror story. But Slate would never let that part of him define his whole being.

This one was inspired by my first few interactions with Weslyn. He was the only

character I knew nothing about, and his presence carried real weight.

Imagine being trapped in time—nothing is real anymore, nothing has meaning or value.

This beat reflects the emotions one might feel when lost in that dream.

Weslyn’s departure from the dream he was trapped in. He rediscovers

kindness and beauty, and though he doesn’t know what lies ahead, he is

ready to let go.

This peaceful yet forward-moving track is one of my personal favourites.

This beat emerged right after Weslyn died. As a player, I still had hope

that he might return somehow—but he didn’t.

This piece is an ode to Weslyn and what Hatsu deeply feels when

thinking about him.

This piece naturally emerged after the New Home for Gorebound scene in the

Wandering Isles. It has a wintery, Christmas-like vibe with a sense of hope—looking

forward to building strong relationships.

I also feel this moment was significant for the characters, giving them something to be

remembered for as a group.

This song was inspired by our first interactions with Simul Decker. My

initial thoughts about him were encapsulated in a voice line from Charlie

Chaplin’s The Great Dictator, where he speaks against dehumanisation—

telling people they are not machines or animals, but human beings with

hearts.

I flipped that sample from the German version of the film and added some

eerie siren atmosphere. I have a strong feeling this track will become the

theme for something we will explore even deeper in the Wandering Isles.

The first journey for the party as a group. Don’t give up! Trust in your abilities!

But beneath that, there’s an undertone of mystery—something hidden along the way. Still, the hook reassures us: We can make it! I believe in you!

My personal vibe for the ongoing campaign, from Hatsu’s perspective.

Imagine him in a small Mediterranean village, wandering downhill toward the

beautiful ocean as the sun sets. He feels nostalgia for home, but also finds the courage to

embrace what lies ahead.

Time is ticking—there is only so much life to live, and still so much to learn.

I hope this music brings you the same joy it brings me. I hope it helps you

dive deeper into our campaign and feel a little bit of what I feel as a player

when we unfold these stories together.

I’m grateful for everyone who joins this journey, and I’m excited to move

forward with this amazing community we’ve built.

THANK YOU!

Yours,

BizzeyB
