The Flash: Devon Graye makes first appearance as The Trickster

Fans will be excited to learn that a new villain will be joining the cast of the CW's popular series The Flash come early March. Devon Graye was spotted on Tuesday sporting unique, colorful garb and a blue mask as he suited up to portray The Trickster. This may come as a surprise to some, as rumour had it that Mark Hamill was reprising the role. There is more to the story.

The former Dexter actor is actually portraying the second Trickster, a copycat of James Jesse, the original Trickster. When Devon's character makes his debut, James Jesse - who's described as an anarchist terrorist con man - is serving a life sentence in Iron Heights.

So then Axel Walker takes his place, becoming the new Trickster, which does not sit well with the original. Mark Hamill will reprise his role as James Jesse/The Trickster - which he portrayed on the original 1990 CBS series - joining the show as a frustrated inmate, driven to working with the police in a style similar to Hannibal Lector, in order to capture his imitator.

Along with reprising his 1990 role, Mark's appearance on the CW series will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp, who currently plays The Flash/Barry Allen's father, but originally went up against the villain as The Flash.

The imprisoned villain reluctantly joins forces with Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to put an end to the new Trickster's city-wide attacks.
