Flash Trailer Gives First Look at Gorilla Grodd

To avoid obvious spoilers, we didn't post the image as our main tag. Below is an image of Grodd for the upcoming episode of The Flash. Below that you can even watch a very spoiler filled trailer, however, if you're excited to see it unfold, I would skip the trailer.

For those who don't know, Gorilla Grodd is a hyper-intelligent telepathic gorilla (you read right) with the power to control the minds of others. At one time, he was nothing more than an average ape, but after an alien spacecraft (retconned from a radioactive meteor, the same one that empowered Hector Hammond) crashes in his African home, Grodd and his troupe are imbued with super intelligence by the ship's pilot. The series appears to be making it so that Harrison Wells created Grodd, but this is to make it suit the show better.

Grodd and fellow gorilla Solovar also develop telepathic and telekinetic powers. Taking the alien as their leader, the gorillas construct a super advanced home named Gorilla City. The gorillas live in peace until their home is discovered by prying explorers. Grodd forces one of the explorers to kill the alien and takes over Gorilla City, planning to conquer the world next. Solovar telepathically contacts Barry Allen to warn him of the evil gorilla's plans, and Grodd is defeated. The villain manages to return again and again to plague the Flash and his allies. Grodd has made many attempts in the series and comics to turn everybody on Earth in to monkeys and apes.

Arrow's Second Last Episode Trailer Gives First Look at Katana

For those who don't know, Katana is a character who made her first appearance was in Brave and the Bold #200.

In February 2013, Katana received her own series written by Ann Nocenti and with art by Alex Sanchez. This book is considered by DC as part of the "Fourth Wave" of New 52 titles.

Why is this important for the series? Well Katana was created to be a member of the first Outsiders team. The team consists of metahuman superheroes who do not fit the norms of the "mainstream" superhero community. The group was created by Batman when his ties to the Justice League got tense.

The Outsiders were re-formed in the early 2000s by Nightwing and Arsenal (hint hint) after The Titans dissolved following the events of 'Graduation Day', in which the heroine Donna Troy was killed by a rogue Superman android. The intention of this new team was to act as 'hunters', actively searching for superhuman criminals currently on the loose, rather than waiting for them to act and then responding as other super-vigilante groups often do.

Does the inclusion of this character mean a possible Outsiders TV series in the future? If you haven't seen the last 3-4 episodes of Arrow, do not continue reading this paragraph. Ready? Good. Now that Roy is gone, it is possible that he could appear as part of an Outsiders group. They are certainly starting to line up some of the possible candidates for this group.

So, as always, you can see a trailer for the next episode of Arrow. This does have a bit of a spoiler feel to it, as you can actually see Katana's full costume for a split second in the trailer. If you don't mind the hype train knocking you down, you can check out the trailer below.

Daredevil Renewed for Second Season

Netflix and Marvel have announced that Marvel's Daredevil has been renewed for Season 2, which will debut in 2016.

The series will have new Producers. Steven S. DeKnight, who was the executive producer for the first season, will not be returning to the man without fear's hit series due to a scheduling conflict. Doug Petrie (Co-producer of Daredevil, CSI and Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Supervising Producer of Daredevil, Writer of several episodes of Orange is the New Black and Sons of Anarchy) will now be taking on Daredevil together.

While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.
— Steven DeKnight

Look forward to seeing the show at some point in 2016.  It is likely that the show will debut around the same time as it did this year, so it hunker down. It might be a long wait.

Better Call Saul Twitter Q&A

The first episode of the Breaking Bad spin-off/prequel Better Call Saul has landed on Netflix. Netflix has launched their show, which is set to show one episode every Tuesday.

To celebrate the fact that one of the most anticipated TV series in history is now available, Bob Odenkirk, who plays the show's leading role, took over Netflix UK's twitter account to answer fans' questions.

Episode two is set to air on AMC tonight in America before being added to Netflix's UK library at 7am tomorrow morning (February 10). After that, new episodes of the show will then be added each Tuesday, the morning after they premiere in the US.

The first season of Better Call Saul will consist of 10 episodes, and AMC has already commissioned a second season comprising 13 episodes. You can read some of the best tweets below.

Lady Sif Returns of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The ABC series returns Tuesday, March 3 and in the second episode back, Sif comes to Earth on an undercover mission and has a superhero showdown with a foe whose superpowers are equal to her own. Footage of the epic clash, which takes place on the coast of Portugal prompting the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to rush to the area to investigate. Not only do they find Sif without her trademark armor, but she has also lost her short-term memory.

Sif has no idea who Thor is or that she serves a king, and we’re going to have fun with that. It’ll give us some much-needed humor in a season that’s been full of betrayal and death. Sif can’t even recall who she came here from Asgard to stop, but Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] and his team will try to help her figure all that out.

On the plus side, Sif still has her childhood memories and knows that she’s Asgardian. “We’ve been dealing a lot with space aliens and Inhumans in our last few episodes—things our Earth-bound heroes just don’t know much about. They need help understanding what’s really going on. Sif’s memory—what’s left of it—will come in very handy.
— Jeffrey Bell, Executive Producer

You can see that episode on Tuesday March 10th on ABC.

NBC May Move Constantine To New Network

This week, NBC renewed a great collection of its original programs, but unfortunately for fans of Constantine, the freshman drama was missing from the list. Since the release of the list, there was a huge outcry from fans for the show to be renewed. In an effort to keep the show alive, it seems that Constantine is being rumored for a network move to the NBC Universal run channel, Syfy. This type of move is unheard of from a network. They usually want to keep their titles, even why they're dying.

Despite the fact that Constantine shut down production after fulfilling its 13-episode order with NBC and was not picked up for additional episodes, reports have indicated that NBC is a fan of the niche drama, and the show might still live on for a second season.

The numbers are proving to be enough that the show could potentially still be picked up for a second season on NBC. If this fails, however, they may move the show to SyFy. What is next for the show is unclear, but we will hear more in the coming days. When we know more, you'll know more!

Obviously, NBC has worked with the Constantine crew to make the series a little closer to the Hellblazer comics the show is based on, but there is still definite room for improvement, and moving the show to a cable network could help the show be more of the badass, dark endeavor that Constantine should be. In fact, if the show moves, reports indicate that NBC Universal might even go so far as to rebrand the series and call it Hellblazer, which would appeal even more to comic fans. Cable also allows shows more leniency in terms of what can or cannot be shown, so the series could potentially be darker, gorier, and feature more smoking.

If NBC can find a way to keep Constantine on the air, it should. The show has a fanbase that is active on social media and has started the #SaveConstantine campaign, similar to the Longmire campaign that landed the show on Netflix a few months ago. Even William Shatner has gotten into the game.

First Look at Tom Hiddleston in High-Rise

Tom Hiddleston has used his Twitter to give us our first look at him as Dr. Laing in the big screen adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s novel High-Rise, co-starring Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons and Luke Evans.

High-Rish is directed by Ben Wheatley (Doctor Who). The movie is set to be released later this year.

BattleBots Returning to TV

ABC has picked up “BattleBots." For those who don't remember, BattleBots is a show about homemade robots that battle to the death to see which is strongest.

The homemade robots will battle against each other, in a single elimination tournament style format, until there is one champion.

The new series promises to wow viewers with next generation robots – bigger, faster and stronger than ever before.

The show will air this summer and will contain 6 episodes.

Netflix Developing Live-Action "Legend of Zelda" Series

“The Legend of Zelda,” is in the works as a television show at Netflix.

The video streaming service is in the early stages of developing a live action series based on the Zelda series, which is about an ordinary boy named Link who must rescue a princess named Zelda and save a fantasy world called Hyrule. Netflix is describing it as “Game of Thrones” for a family audience.

Netflix is said to be working closely with Nintendo, the Japanese game developer responsible for the game, which was released in the U.S. in 1987.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Add's "Inhuman" Character

Fans of the show know that “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is preparing for a huge midseason return March 3, based on the midseason finale. Now, Marvel has revealed that the team will be returning with a new addition. Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People) will be playing a new character called Lincoln. According to Marvel, Lincoln is “a charismatic Inhuman who has an important part to play in Skye’s understanding the true extent of her transformation”.

With the revelations surrounding Skye’s true identity in the Winter Finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed. The charming energy Luke brings to the role that will make him a character to watch as we continue our season.
— Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D returns on Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

RWBY Now Available on Netflix

Fans of the Rooster Teeth show RWBY can rejoice knowing that the show is now available to stream thought Netflix, alongside their other hit show, Red vs. Blue.

Show creator Monty Oum passed away last week which brings great sadness to his legions of fans. The employees of Rooster Teeth ask that you remember him by being creative, as he was. I suggest you also remember him by watching this show.

RWBY is set in the fictional world of Remnant, which is filled with supernatural forces. The series focuses on Team RWBY, which consists of Ruby Rose (Lindsay Jones), Weiss Schnee (Kara Eberle), Blake Belladonna (Arryn Zech) and Yang Xiao Long (Barbara Dunkelman).

Arrow - Caity Lotz Returns in Canaries Trailer

"A dose of Vertigo will make the dead rise." This weeks trailer for Arrow shows off a familiar face. Caity Lotz reprises her role as Canary. After Laurel gets hit with a dose of Vertigo, she hallucinates an epic battle with her sister, Sara — both of ‘em fully dressed in their costumes.

Felicity continues to aid Ray with his Atom exosuit, and Oliver — who’s back to taking on crime in Starling City — and Roy appear to be having a serious conversation with Thea.

Obviously, many things are going to be different for Oliver in this episode, and while things have certainly been crazy so far, things have only just begun. With the return of Green Arrow, and peace being restored to the Glades, it is time to focus on getting the streets back in order.

CW have released a synopsis for the Canaries episode. Check it out below, and the trailer below that.

Oliver (Stephen Amell) is thrown by the changes within Team Arrow. He’s used to calling the shots but sees that the team has evolved in his absence and tensions quickly escalate in the lair. Oliver is furious that Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has been going out as the Black Canary and tells her to stop risking her life, but when Vertigo (guest star Peter Stormare) hits the streets again, Laurel goes against Oliver’s wishes and tracks down Vertigo who hits her with a full dose of the drug. Laurel’s biggest fears revolve around her sister Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) so the Vertigo causes her to hallucinate an epic fight between Canary and Black Canary. Meanwhile, Chase (guest star Austin Butler) surprises Thea (Willa Holland), and Roy (Colton Haynes) warns Thea to stay away from Malcolm (John Barrowman).

Better Call Saul - Meet the Characters

AMC has debuted a new behind-the-scenes preview for their “Breaking Bad” prequel/spin-off “Better Call Saul." The trailer features the cast and crew discussing the characters of the series.

Better Call Saul has been greenlit for a second season of 13 episodes. The first season will consist of 10 episodes and will premiere on February 9, 2015 at 10/9c.

Watch The Opening 2 Minutes of the Mid-Season Premiere of The Walking Dead

AMC has debuted the first two minutes of the mid-season premiere of “The Walking Dead."

After the tragic events of the mid-season finale, Rick and the survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. It is somewhat reminiscent of how the show began. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left.

The series will return on February 8. The show has already been renewed for a sixth season, set to begin in the fall of 2015.

Gotham Will Introduce The Joker Before Season 1 Ends

Gotham appears to want to drown their fans in villains this season. The monstrous parade of future super-villains on Gotham is getting out of control. The unstoppable force of villainous announcements is growing yet again. Literally an hour ago we reported that Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia will be joining the ranks

Apparently The Joker will be making a short appearance before season 1 ends. Well, now Bruno Heller is saying the slow-burn buildup for that story isn’t done yet – but viewers at home will, in fact, get their first taste of that villain plot thread before the show’s first season wraps up.

We’ve said you’re going to be waiting a bit longer for it, but this is America — nobody wants to wait. [Laughs] So, we will scratch the surface of that story, yes. But just scratch it — a little tap on the door [before season one is done].
— Bruno Heller, Gotham Creator

Heller also mentioned that any Joker nods included on the show thus far are smoke and mirrors – and not necessarily direct foreshadowing of what’s to come on Gotham, however there are clues and hints throughout series one that may indicate who the Joker may be. The common thought is that The Penguin is actually the Joker, and Robin Lord Taylor has actually spoken about it in an interview, but he knows what everybody else does about the shows future, which is absolutely nothing.

Heroes Star Milo Ventimiglia Joins Gotham

Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) will join Gotham in a recurring role, according to DC Entertainment.

He is set to play a character from the original TV series, who will debut in Episode 19 and appear for a multi-episode arc.

Ventimiglia is set to play Jason Lennon, a.k.a. “the Ogre,” and is described as a "handsome, wealthy and seductive" serial killer who has been preying on the young women of Gotham for nearly a decade, luring them into his web and confronting them with a series of “tests” as he searches for his perfect mate. When the women fail to live up to his impossible standard, Lennon disposes of them quickly and viciously and moves on to the next victim.

Lennon’s obsessions, combined with Gordon’s determination to bring him down, send both Gordon and Lennon — and those around them — on a course toward tragedy. Does this mean a death for the show? Could it result in the birth of one of Batman's most feared villains? Possibly. Given how close this will be to the season finale, it is likely this is going to be a dramatic and exciting episode arch to watch.
