Uncharted 4 Announced

The game was revealed at the US launch event last night, as the PlayStation 4 goes on sale in North America today – rather than November 29 in Europe.

There was no gameplay footage shown, but the map in trailer below seems to be for the Carribean. As you can hear the voiceover implies someone very angry at being abandoned somewhere for 15 years.

Amy [Hennig, series writer], Justin [Richmond, Uncharted 3 director], and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system.

Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4. We can confirm that the voiceover is performed by Todd Stashwick and he will play a character in the game.
— Arne Mayer, Naughty Dog

That’s about all we can dissect from what was shown, with Naughty Dog co-president Christophe Balestra merely promising that, "Graphically you’re going to see a big jump". We will hopefully hear more news about this in the near future, and we will be sure to keep you up to date. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer and, as always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
