The next season of Telltale Games' Walking Dead episodic adventure series could allow players to carry over their choices from the first five episodes of the game. Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors announced in a recent interview that the studio is currently figuring out how to carry saves over from the first season, which ended last November.
Connors discussed many different aspects of the game, including Telltale's inspirations and aspirations for the game:
“I think the games that we talked about the most during development were Heavy Rain and Uncharted from a cinematic standpoint, and Mass Effect from a choice standpoint,” he explains.
“For other media we always look at the best episodic series out there - obviously the Walking Dead TV show, but also Game of Thrones and Mad Men, for the way they handle characters and are able to present them with so much depth.”
Connors also said:
"Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two. This all remains to be seen, but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over."
The first episode of The Walking Dead was released in April last year and was downloaded over 1 million times across PC, Mac, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live in two weeks. The fifth and final episode of the first season was the top-selling PSN title in November.
