Over the last few months, Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson has been working on a new game that takes place in the far future, in space, and is called 0x10c. Markus “Notch” Persson, also known as the original creator of Minecraft and founder of the Swedish studio Mojang Specifications, is showing his game off in its early stages, but still sporting some amazing laser guns and some crawling around in an abandoned space ship. It almost looks like it takes some inspiration from Joss Whedon's Firefly. He has posted some new video showing off his latest game 0x10c in action — specifically its new-newfangled multiplayer component.
But for those of you who haven't seen the older video, we have it here too. As you can see, there’s a lot of walking, shooting of a ray gun, lighting effects. it’s definitely still a work in progress. Notch descirbes it as “physics, bobbing, and guns.” Notch is looking to include “engineering, mining, trading and looting, an advanced economy system, a fully working computer system and…duct tape.” In addition, the plan for this game’s development will mirror that of Minecraft, in that an early build of the game will be made available to players who can help him shape the game as it progresses.
