Not even a full day after a Chinese website shocked the tech world by posting new photos of the (supposedly) fully assembled Apple's next generation iPhone, a report surfaced early Monday that is further supporting the on-going rumors that the new model would be shipped out soon. Real soon.
A reliable source has said that Apple "is planning to debut the new iPhone at a special event on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, with the release date to follow 9 days later on Friday, September 21."
As per the report, the new iPhone won't be alone during the announcement event Sept. 12 as it would be accompanied by the long-rumored "iPad mini," with 7.x-inches display, and also the new iPod nano.
"We haven't heard a release date for the iPad mini yet, but it could be the same as the iPhone 5. It seems likely the new iPod touch will make an appearance on September 12 as well, though we haven't heard any specific information about that yet either"
We are currently testing the iOS 6 BETA, but an official release date has not been announced for the full release of the iOS. The upcoming mobile OS from Apple, announced at WWDC 2012 on June 11, is expected to "get a final presentation during the September 12 event as well, and if Apple sticks to the usual patterns, a release should be on Wednesday, September 19.
