In the wake of last week’s GTAV Official Trailer debut, there was a huge reaction from a number of fans asking about the music featured in it. The song is "Sleepwalking" from electronic band The Chain Gang of 1974. Have a listen to it via the SoundCloud player embedded below.

Designed to encompass the breadth of the modern L.A. music scene, GTAV's soundtrack features 15 music stations, two stations of talk radio and 240 licensed songs - covering everything from unforgettable classic hip-hop with long-time Rockstar collaborator DJ Pooh, to the underground Mexican sounds of East LOS FM and the modern beatmaker scene courtesy of FlyLo FM, with new and exclusive tracks from both Flying Lotus and self-confessed GTA fan Tyler the Creator. Cara Delevingne (Victoria's Secret Angel) has also been confirmed as a DJ for GTA V.

The game also includes over 20 hours of original, dynamic score created by noted composer Tangerine Dream in collaboration with Woody Jackson (Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, LA Noire) and L.A. hip-hop producers Alchemist and Oh No.

For this game, which is set in our version of modern day Los Angeles, what was important for us was to capture that feeling of L.A. and California. We approached the radio stations as the musical soundscape [you experience] as you fly into L.A. One of the things we’ve never done in a GTA game before is a pop station; exploring that made so much sense in the context of L.A.
— Ivan Pavlovich, Rockstar's soundtrack supervisor
