Borderlands 2 deveoper Gearbox Software is working with Microsoft to solve issues with the game's Compatibility Pack. Borderlands 2 players on Xbox 360 are having difficulty downloading a Compatibility Update required to play the recently-released Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt add-on.
The 258MB download is needed to keep all players up to speed with content added in new DLC releases. Gearbox released a new Compatibility Pack through Xbox Live late yesterday, which is necessary to access Sir Hammerlock. Soon after users began reporting errors stating downloads were freezing around the 98 and 99 percent marks. Other players complained of difficulties accessing online multiplayer as well.
A new Compatibility Pack is rolling out on Xbox 360 to support the release of Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. The Gearbox Community Manager released this statement:
We're hearing that the Compatibility Pack is now downloading properly on Xbox 360 for some and are continuing to work with Microsoft on this.
For those still experiencing the "Can't Download Compatibility Pack" error, please try adding the latest Compatibility Pack to your download queue from Xbox.com via this link: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Pr...4977?cid=SLink -- ideally, you should see a 258.15 MB download in your queue.
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is now available on all platforms.
