Just two weeks from today (December 11th), Dishonored’s first add-on, Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials, will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $4.99/£3.99 /€4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points).
Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as ‘The Whalers’, will be the focus of the second add-on pack, scheduled for release in early Spring 2013. Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome.
The DLC include 10 new challenge maps, designed to test your combat, stealth, and mobility skills. Some challenges will have you fighting off waves of enemies, while others seem to focus on eliminating as many targets as possible. There are even challenges that are made to test your nonlethal combat skills, as you’re tasked to shoot down whale oil tanks or you have to infiltrate a mansion to collect loot, all without being caught.
The main game allowed you to finish missions as you liked, but for a newcomer combining skills was harder. If you are a veteran of the game then these challenge maps will be easier to complete. You can creatively combine your supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets to eliminate as many targets as possible, fight off waves of tallboys, guards, weepers and thugs, or take out targets in a non-stop run of drop assassinations.
A leaderboard has also been added, and with it new achievements and trophies that go along with it. Not only that, but for each trial and objective you complete you’ll unlock original concept art, as well as other unnamed prizes. Check out our Gallery below!
