Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - What to Expect

Set two years after Human Revolution, Mankind Divided is set in 2029. Since the last game mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts, seen as a danger for the rest of society. Many of them are feared and branded as terrorists. The world is in a constant state of chaos and tension, as the augmented population try to resist this segregation. They are being forced in live in mechanical only ghettoes, where they are only a danger to themselves and not to others.

Since the last game, Adam Jensen has left Sarif Industries and now he works for a newly formed Interpol team called "Task Force 29". He is investigating and stopping terrorists around the world. In the meantime he is actually a double agent within the task force. He believes the illuminati created the group to serve their own purposes. Jensen has teamed up with some hacktivists (hacker activists) to help bring this organisation down.

Adam Jensen is now equipped with an all-new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations. Some of these new weapons and augs include a peps gun hidden in his arm and detachable nano-blades which can be used as projectiles.

Jensen represents the human 2.0. These new possibilities will support even more the multi-path and multi-solution design of Deus Ex. You can play the game the way you want: stealthy, full combat, a mix of both, aggressive but non-lethal and more. Choices and play-styles will still play an important part in the Deus Ex universe. You can even now take down bosses with the pacifist route, unlike in Human Revolution.

A wide range of ammunition types are available for certain guns, and you can switch ammo types without having to go through a pause menu. The press of a button has Jensen look down at his gun where you can quickly toggle your ammo type before getting right back into the action.

Two firing modes were shown: an impaling shot that literally nailed targets to nearby walls, and high explosive blades that stick to walls and detonate after a short delay. The former is used for silent lethal takedowns from a distance, the other is just destructiom. The Tesla firing mode can be used to lock on to up to four targets and take them down non-lethally, and the last mode mentioned so far is a blast of concussive force.

There is now a remote hacking mod, which allows you to hack the many hackable objects in a Deus Ex game without having to get right in front of them. Another mod is the Titan Shield, which makes you virtually indestructible for a while. A new Focus mod gives Jensen the ability to essentially slow time, allowing him to move faster compared to his enemies. There is a new Icarus Dash, which moves Adam rapidly in a set direction, even vertically.

Alongside the game is the launch of an app, which you can download now, for tablets and mobile devices. The app allows you to scan triangles, which will unlock bonus content for you. Simply download the app, click the scan symbol in the top right and scan this triangle. If you know of more triangles, feel free to let us know and we can put them all together. We have included one triangle on the left. You can download the app here on android and here on iOS.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming soon on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and is set for an early 2016 release.
