Draw Something Inspires New Channel 4 Game Show "Draw It!"

Channel 4 has commissioned a new gameshow inspired by the best-selling app Draw Something. If you haven't heard of this app then I applaud you. It has been in the media for a long time now, and it has been downloaded over 50 million times. Zynga recently purchased it for a whopping $180 million.

Channel 4 will make a TV version of the game which sets two people up to take turns to draw images for their partner to guess correctly. The teams will be made up of a member of the public and a celebrity, just to make it that bit more interesting.

The show will be titled "Draw It!" and the teams will go against each other in three rounds. The contestant that comes out on top will then collaborate with the two celebrities for the final round to compete for a cash prize. Victory Television (Who Wants to be a Millionaire) will be co-creating the show.

“There’s a creative side to everyone, sometimes more obvious than others, and the show will really tap into that with a race against the clock and plenty of humour.”
— Victoria Ashbourne, managing director of Victory Television
