The free Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC from Valve that we discussed in the last podcast (which you can hear by clicking here) has been released today. It includes a level editor and over 900 maps to get you started.
To get the update, simply run your Steam client and the game will auto update - if auto updates are turned on in the preferences. If not, we suggest that you turn it on but failing that you can manually update it and it should download for you. The downlaod also comes with an easy-to-use level editor that allows you to craft your own devious puzzles.
“Available now for PC and Mac, The Perpetual Testing Initiative allows players to easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles. The Initiative comes with a simplified Puzzle Maker that allows that creation of mind-bending puzzles without ever leaving the game,” says Valve’s Doug Lombardi.
Users can upload their work to the Steam Workshop to share them with the community. However, the cake is still a lie.
