Suicide Squad Trailer Officially Released

Following the massive reaction to the Comic Con showing of the Suicide Squad trailer, Warner Brothers has finally released trailer for the world to see, in full HD.

The entire Suicide Squad team made an appearance at the Comic-Con panel, and the first teaser trailer was shown. Director David Ayer said he found the trailer on the Internet, showing the audience a first glimpse of what’s coming in August 2016.

You get a first look at each of the characters separately for the first time. What are your thoughts and opinions? Let us know in the comments below. Enjoy the trailer!

Top Gun 2 Confirmed

Kick the tires, and light the fires! It appears Tom Cruise's character Maverick's need for speed will be fulfilled once again in Top Gun 2.

There were talks of a sequel to the incredible 1986 film around 2010. Tom Cruise was attached to the project, but not much more was known. In 2012, he and Top Gun director Tony Scott scouted locations for the sequel. In August of that year, Scott died at age 68.

Justin Marks is writing the screenplay right now. He has a phenomenal take to really update that world for what fighter pilots in the Navy has turned into today.

There is an amazing role for Maverick in the movie and there is no Top Gun without Maverick, and it is going to be Maverick playing Maverick. It is I don’t think what people are going to expect, and we are very, very hopeful that we get to make the movie very soon. But like all things, it all comes down to the script, and Justin is writing as we speak.
— Co-producer and Skydance CEO David Ellison

Cruise has not commented about Top Gun 2. It is unclear if fellow past co-stars such as Val Kilmer or Kelly McGillis, who played Cruise's love interest, will reprise their roles. In 2014, co-producer Jerry Bruckheimer talked about the movie and how it will incorporate more advanced military aircraft, so it is likely they will be way more up to date with this movie and it won't be a direct continuation.

Technology has changed obviously since we made the first one. So, I think we’re going to take advantage of what the world is like today, you know with the drones really kind of taking over in a lot of our wars...Is the pilot obsolete? No, I don’t think so...we’re going to hopefully highlight both worlds.
— Jerry Bruckheimer

Look forward to more information on the movie soon.

James Gunn Says Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Will Be Different

James Gunn has been promising new and exciting changes ahead for Guardians of the Galaxy. He has been calling the sequel an overall more emotional movie. Considering they dropped hints to Starlord's father in the previous title, which plays a huge part in the comics, it is likely it will be about this storyline.

Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Starlord) said that James Gunn’s idea for the sequel actually brought tears to the actor’s eyes. Of course he wasn’t able to divulge any further details, but it sounds like it will be an amazing story.

I will say that his pitch and his idea legitimately put tears in my eyes. It is so good, it’s so good. And I cannot wait to get started on it and I cannot wait for people to see what he’s going to pull off with the second movie. It’s so, so big and so good.
— Chris Pratt
Well I think I’ve said so much already... I think it’s a more emotional movie. It’s both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters. We learn a lot about fathers in the second movie and I think we focus a lot on that.
— James Gunn

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set to release on May 5, 2017.

Phew. After 48 days straight without a day off, the the first draft of #GotG2 is done. I'm sorry to all my friends and family who I have ignored.

Jared Leto Sends Creepy Gifts to Suicide Squad Co-Stars

Well, this is certainly a weird story to wake up to. Jared Leto has snapped and given in to the Joker, the character he is playing in the upcoming Suicide Squad. Leto is a renowned method actor. He goes 100% in to each role, and devotes his life to it. When we heard he was playing the Joker we figured he would either end up in jail, dead or the real life Clown Prince of Crime in New York or something. Thankfully his psychotic snap seems to have just been to send unusual gifts to his co-stars.

Adam Beach (Who will play Slipknot in the movie) told incredibly strange stories about Jared Leto’s various gifts for his co-stars. These gifts included bullets for Will Smith, a love letter for Margot Robbie that came with a black box and a live rat, because what better way to show your love for someone? He has sorted my anniversary gift ideas, anyway. Beach explained that Leto also made a video for the entire cast, which wasn't much less insane than his gifts.

Basically, what he said was, ‘Guys, I can’t be there but I want you to know I’m doing my work as hard as you guys. The video he showed is in character. It blew our minds away. Then we realized that day, this is real. … He encompasses this beautiful man and he shows it in, ‘Hello, how are you?’ But in an instant, he goes to psychotic behavior where you’re in fear. But you love him because he has both of those genuine sides.
— Adam Beach

I think we will stay away from Leto's Christmas gift's for a while. He's crazy, but we love him. He will absolutely shatter everybody's expectations of the Joker. Catch him and the rest of the cast of Suicide Squad in 2016.

Ant-Man Internation Trailer

It's meer weeks until we can finally see Ant-Man. In this trailer we see a Japanese commercial (with English scenes) that show off some of the combat, story and back story of the characters. There's even an Iron Man reference, just to make it all the more interesting.

There’s a bunch of new footage in this trailer, but overall the emphasis in on definitely on the importance of family in this story. Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang is a reformed master thief trying to go straight, with an estranged wife and young daughter he wants to take care of. The Baskin-Robbins job appears to be his attempt to stay on the straight and narrow and keep his nose clean, though as you can see with him breaking into a safe, that likely won’t last long.

This trailer also adds a bit of clarification to Ant-Man plot as we know it. 40 years ago Hank Pym created the technology to allow users to shrink in size while increasing in strength. His assistant Darren Cross is obsessed with recreating Pym’s work. He plans to weaponize it and use it for war. It’s up to Scott to steal this tech to make sure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hand and cause irreparable damage to the world ad we know it.

There is a scene where Hope Van Dyne is looking at the Yellow Jacket suit, which could imply her becoming Wasp, which has been theorised by fans since the announcement of Ant-Man.

Ant-Man is release on July 17th this year.

James McAvoy Shaves Head for X-Men: Apocalypse

Though we have thoroughly enjoyed James McAvoy with a plenty of hair in “X-Men: First Class” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” the time has come for McAvoy’s Professor X to go bald for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Check out the picture and let us know your thoughts! The movie is in production at the moment. The movie is set for release on May 27, 2016.

Kingsman: The Secret Service Sequel Confirmed

With the massive collection of comic book movies coming out, it is no surprise 20th Century Fox has greenlit the sequel to the box office success Kingsman: The Secret Service. The film which is based off of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons' Icon Comic series “The Secret Service” was a box office hit earning over $400 million globally. It started off slowly but picked up momentum as the weeks went on.

Kingsman: The Secret Service is a 2014 spy movie, directed by Matthew Vaughn, and created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. The film stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine. It follows the recruitment and training of a potential secret agent, Gary "Eggsy" Unwin, into a secret spy organisation. Eggsy joins a mission to tackle a global threat from Richmond Valentine, a wealthy eco-terrorist.

Although Fox has yet to announce a date for the sequel, you can expect they will be trying to get this one out as soon as possible.

Martin Freeman Joins Captain America: Civil War

Marvel has just announced that Martin Freeman has joined the cast of Captain America: Civil War. His role was not announced in the press release, but there are already fan theories flooding in.

From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in The Office, Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us. We couldn’t be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
— Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios

Civil War is set to release on May 6, 2016. Who do you think he will be playing n the movie? Let us know in the comments.

Update:  Martin Freeman's mysterious role will be Everett Ross in Civil War. His character will be a tie in to Black Panther. Ross is often the Governments goto guy for anything Wakanda, the home of Black Panther. It is also a location from Age of Ultron, for those wondering why it sounds so familiar.

First Look at the Suicide Squad Suited Up

Following last weeks look at Jared Leto as the Joker, here is our first look at the Suicide Squad suited up.

You can click the image to make it bigger. From left to right, the lineup shows Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara down in front as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

Alongside the newly released SS picture, you can also see a close up look at Will Smith as Deadshot. Deadshot is often a hired assassin, regularly boasting to "never miss". He is capable of using a large variety of weapons, but is most frequently portrayed as using a pair of silenced, wrist-mounted guns. He initially appears in Gotham as a new crimefighter, but is revealed to be an enemy of Batman when he attempts to replace the Dark Knight.

"Suicide Squad" is about a team of supervillains pulled together by government agent Amanda Waller (notably also missing from the picture) and given a chance at a clean slate. The only snag is that the "chance" is a series of incredibly dangerous missions that none of them are expected to survive. Recently you could see a version of the Suicide Squad on the TV series "Arrow".

Fans can also expect appearances from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actors Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Affleck, reprising their roles as Lex Luthor and the Dark Knight, respectively. With both movies released next year, it looks like DC's interconnected cinematic universe will soon be in full swing.

Suicide Squad will be released on August 5, 2016. Let us know what you think of the costumes in the comments! Will this movie work, or bomb? Let us know in the comments, too.

Is There More Than One Infinity Gauntlet in the MCU?

image.jpg

Massive spoilers for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The mid credits scene for Avengers: Age of Ultron is a big one. It sets up Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & Part 2, while also giving us our best look yet at the Infinity Gauntlet. This is both interesting and exciting for all fans.

In a weird twist, the Infinity Gauntlet we see Thanos retrieve is not the only one that exists within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Infinity Gauntlet first appeared inside of Odin's vault in Thor. Kevin Feige has confirmed that the gauntlet inside of Odin's vault and the gauntlet that Thanos retrieves from another vault are not the same one.

The Infinity Gauntlet in Thor

There are two different gloves. That was not Odin’s vault that you see at the end.
— Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 hits theaters on May 4, 2018, and will begin filming late next year.

First Look at Stephen Amell as Casey Jones for TMNT 2

Michael Bay has given the world an official glimpse at "Arrow" star Stephen Amell suited up as Casey Jones for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sequel.

Casey is a vigilante, which is not a far cry from Amell's main series as Oliver Queen. Jones goes around wearing a hockey mask and using several pieces of sports equipment as his arsenal, including a baseball bat, hockey stick and more.

His origin is rather simple. New York, where Jones is from, was overrun by criminals. Enticed by examples from TV, Casey decided to do something about the crime in the streets. After equipping himself with a hockey mask and various sports clubs, he began his vigilante campaign.

He started his career with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when he ran into Raphael beating up a pair of muggers. When Raphael let them go, he proceeded to "finish them off" but was stopped by Raphael. The two clashed but eventually helped each other take down additional muggers that appeared after their fight.

Bay’s photo shows a faithful interpretation of the character in Amell’s take, as the actor’s face is entirely obscured by a mask. While he doesn’t have a golf bag full of weapons just yet, he’s already ready to fight with a hockey stick in hand. However, the character is usually portrayed with long hair.

Jones is almost always a love interest for April O’Neil, who is played by Megan Fox in the films.

TMNT 2 is set for a release in 2016.

Daniel Bruhl Confirms He Will Play Helmut Zemo in Captain America: Civil War

Daniel Brühl ("Inglorious Basterds") has officially confirmed that he will appear as the villain Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War. He will be playing Baron Helmut Zemo, son of Baron Heinrich Zemo.

The original Baron Heinrich Zemo first appeared in 1964’s “The Avengers” issues #4 as a former Hydra scientist who fought Captain America during World War II and later formed the Masters of Evil to counter The Avengers. His son Helmut Zemo made his debut in 1973’s “Captain America” #168, and eventually became mutated after falling into a boiling vat of his father’s chemical Adhesive X. After that he aligned himself with Arnim Zola and Batroc, both of whom appeared in last year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Helmut Zemo later goes on to lead the hero team of reformed villains known as Thunderbolts.

I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison. For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.
— Daniel Brühl

Set to be directed once again by the Russo brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Infinity Wars), Captain America: Civil War will debut in theatres on May 6, 2016.

First Look at Jared Leto as The Joker

image.jpg

Well, that highly anticipated moment is here. This is our first official look at Jared Leto as The Joker from the upcoming movie, Suicide Squad.  The film also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang. But it’s obvious that the film’s key element is the debut of this version of the Joker which will remain in the ongoing DC Cinematic Universe.

After a month of false alarms and fuzzy leaked photos-of-photos, directed David Ayer has dropped an official photo of our new big-screen Joker.

Today is the 75th anniversary of the comic book debut of The Joker in the first issue of Batman, so today is a great day to reveal Leto's character style. You can see the picture below. It is clearly going to be a rougher take on the iconic mastermind.

Update: Jared Leto is apparently sporting a different look on set. His skin has no tattoos, and there are no grills in his mouth. Apparently, his skin is covered in scars, presumably those he received from facing off against the Batman. If the tattoos will feature a role in the movie at all is unclear.

Nicole Perlman & Meg LeFauve will together write Marvel’s “Captain Marvel,” in theaters November 2, 2018, bringing Carol Danvers to the big screen in her first solo cinematic adventure.

Fans will probably recognize Perlman as the co-writer of Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,”, while LeFauve most recently co-wrote  Disney•Pixar’s next original film “Inside Out,” which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May before heading to theaters June 19.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige decided to turn the two into a writing duo after being impressed with each of their individual takes on the movie.

The movie will release on November 2nd, 2018. It's a long wait, but it promises to be worth it.
